The 40 days and night story behind Jesus's life was about the exile in the desert after the resurrection, he went to the desert to hide after he Ressureccted. He most likely ascended into heaven and was hidden from human eye's. There is a concept in the Mormon church that he landed in South America after he ascended and restarted his ministry amongst the native Indians. It is my belief it was about 40 years later. Can you imagine being high on spiritual mana and wondering in the desert. If you believe in any of the stuff about being famous, there is a level of favor that builds in the human body which elevates it above normal consciousness, if Jesus has millions of followers over hundreds of years, his level of "mana" would have been very high,. And I mean unbearable, The cross and stigmata are the most excrusioating expereience one could ever fathom. His eyes probably turned white, his blood most likely stopped to flow, I guess that's the concept of how a man became a god. I've kind of attuned to the concept of Favor, Favor amongst gods make them ascend, when a god falls out of Favor he falls.
