It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else. Sharing real world usage stories is often more helpful than any advertisement. Metal can feel more premium, but acetate can be more comfortable for long wear. If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually has some kind of catch.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

If tracking never updates for weeks, I start to worry about the order. If a website gives a detailed guide for measurements, I feel more confident when ordering. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again. Sometimes one good quality item is better than five very cheap ones.
